The St Esprit Clinic has established itself as the most modern outpatient care centre specialised in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, which has been instrumental in introducing new medical technologies and higher standards of care in Mauritius. The use of an intravaginal probe for pelvic ultrasound examinations, colposcopy for the identification of cervical lesions, breast ultrasound examinations, antepartum cardiotocographic fetal monitoring, laparoscopic surgery and hysteroscopy and a program of detection of gynaecological cancers are among the many innovations brought in the field to better care for the modern Mauritian woman.

The St Esprit Clinic has a fully equipped operation theatre, where surgery can be carried out in safety. The first cases of IVF were performed in June 1997. Nine months later the first IVF babies, a set of twins, were born. Our small state of the art laboratory enables us to offer a "one stop shop" service.
