ERC Ltee. is the no 1 transport company in Mauritius. It was established in 1952 with the objective of providing transport services to the sugar industry.

Over the years, it has extended its services to a very comprehensive choice of services ranging from the straight forward container to the very sophisticated handling of heavy and bulky cargo for large projects.

The company has experienced several years of nominal growth of 5 to 10% yearly, and continues to innovate by launching new services which proves to be very successful.

Buses

The bus service in Mauritius is excellent and cheap, even if some buses are not always in perfect condition, and almost every part of the island can be reached by bus. The buses operate from 05:30 to 20:00 in urban regions and 06:30 to 18:30 in rural regions. There is a late service until 23:00 between Port Louis and Curepipe, via Rose Hill, Quatre Bornes and Vacoas, and vice-versa.
