Harel Frères Limited (Harel Frères), whose origins date back to 1838, is a conglomerate established in Mauritius and operating regionally. Incorporated in July 1960, HFL is one of the major sugar groups in Mauritius, cultivating some 6,000 hectares of sugar cane land in the northern part of the island . It has, throughout the years, diversified its activities from an essentially sugar-oriented company to one with interests in energy production, alcohol production and commercial distribution, property development and construction as well as financial services.
