Golf Academy
The Golf Academy is a structured way of teaching, looking at the swing as a whole and analysing it in detail whatever the level of the players game. The Academy is a very useful tool from beginners to professional level. As soon a player becomes conscious of his swing and mistakes, he will be able to correct them in a proper way and improve every shot in the bag. A studio on the Belle mare Plage driving range is reserved for the Academy so that lessons can be given in the shade. A putting green as well as a bunker are available for practice. The professional will have several teaching aids at his disposal.

The visual aspect will be followed by a video camera as well as a mirror. The analysis of the swing itself will be done by computer which will give the pro the exact data needed to identify the players problems. This guaranteed teaching method invented by Hugh Baiocchi and Marc Farry will be followed up by the resident professional. The major difference between a normal lesson and the Academy is that during a lesson the pro will take care of one swing problem. Whereas in the academy the swing is worked on as a whole. Several programs are available to offer you a choice at every level of play.
The Academy can even be booked for a full week for group use. After having worked on your swing through the Academy, you will be able to step onto the first tee of the Championship Golf Course at Belle Mare Plage.
The Golf Course is a Championship standard layout featuring 18 holes each very different, exciting and challenging. The course was carved out of bush covered volcanic rock in some areas and shaped over low lying flood plains in others.
Accuracy down the indigenous tree and bush lined fairway is the main challenge culminating in large, receptive greens set in superbly natural backdrops. The outstanding hole is the par 3,160 yard 17th with its spectacular views from the tee across the sparkling waters of the bay, tucked in around the headland from the Indian Ocean, surrounding the island green perched on an outcrop of volcanic rock.
