The aim of my Ministry is to help Mauritius achieve environmental sustainability in the long term through continued innovation and vibrant partnerships and collaboration with all stakeholders. We have a clear and an ambitious goal for Mauritius:

to enable our Republic to attain the highest level of environmental quality as a means to enhance the quality of life of Mauritians, preserve our natural environment and advance our competitiveness

The Garden is under the responsibility of the Ministry of Agro Industry and Fisheries and is administered by the Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam Botanic Garden Trust Board created under Act No.10 of 1999.

The Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam Botanic Garden, formerly known as ROYAL BOTANIC GARDENS, PAMPLEMOUSSES covers about 37 hectares.
